Sleep Medicine Physicians


Theodore M. Berman, MD, DABSM
Dr. Theodore Berman is a native of Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1975. He completed his medicine residency and fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Berman has been in private practice since 1980 and is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders.
Wilfred A. Corson, MD, DABSM
Dr. Wilfred Corson graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1959. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary Medicine fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Corson has been in private practice since 1968 and is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders.
Joan M. K. Fox, MD, DABSM
Dr. Joan Fox graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1985. Following the completion of an Internal Medicine Residency and a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Minnesota, she was on faculty at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics involved in clinical and basic research. Dr. Fox is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders.
Kathy R. Gromer, MD, DABSM
Dr. Kathy Gromer graduated from Kansas University Medical School in 1985. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and her Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Gromer has been in private practice since 1991 and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and in Sleep Disorders.
Thomas F. Mulrooney, MD, DABSM
Dr. Thomas Mulrooney graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1959. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Michigan and Hennepin County Medical Center in 1965. He completed his Pulmonary fellowship at the University of Minnesota where he is now Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Mulrooney is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders.
Ralph E. Steele, MD, DABSM
Dr. Ralph Steele graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1975. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics and his Pulmonary fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Steele has been in private practice since 1980 and is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders.
Patrick J. Wright, MD, DABSM
Dr. Patrick Wright graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1985. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and his Pulmonary fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Wright is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota and has been in private practice since 1992. He is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care, and Sleep Disorders.

Sleep Psychologist (Insomnia Program)


Mark Rosenblum, PsyD, LP
Dr. Rosenblum is the Director of Minnesota Sleep Institute’s Insomnia Program. Dr. Rosenblum obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University/Atlanta and completed an American Psychological Association approved internship at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. Dr. Rosenblum received training in the assessment and treatment of insomnia through a preceptorship with Peter Hauri, Ph. D., the former Director of the Mayo Clinic Sleep Disorders Center.

Brenda Henney, PA-C
Brenda Henney graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Augsburg College in 1998. Brenda has six years of experience working in Otolaryngology and Urgent Care.

Kim Locher, CNP
Kim Locher graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2003 with a Masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kim’s work experience is in Cardiology and Military Medicine and she continues ongoing studies in Chronic Disease Management.

Katherine Petersen, CNP
Katherine Petersen is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Metropolitan State University. Katherine has 15 years of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders experience with the practice.
